About Liquorice Extract: Liquorice is referred to the roots of Glycyrrhiza glabra which is a kind of legume and mostly grown in parts of Asia and southern Europe. This plant is also famous by the name ‘Mulethi’ in the Indian subcontinent and has been traditionally used there to cure persistent coughs. This small plant grows up to 1 meter is height and has 7 to 15 centimetres long. It bears pale purple to whitish blue flowers which are about one third of an inch in length. Its fruits are in form of oblong pods which contain several seeds. This plant is best known for its natural flavouring compound and therapeutic properties.
