Fenugreek is actually a plant that is part of the legume family, native to India and southern Europe. We used the seeds are roasted and crushed or powdered. It has a strong odor and bitter. Fenugreek is a component of flavor curries and Mediterranean dishes, vegetables, soups and some stews. Sprouts are incorporated in salads. Ultimately, Fenugreek is a spice as a medicinal herb with quite remarkable properties (see below).
